The river and rowing museum in Henley 9th March

On Monday 9th of March Marsh Baldon School went to the River and Rowing Museum in Henley. When they arrived a lady called Maddie met them and told them a little bit on what they were going to do and then were put into 4 groups, some of the experiments were: some gutters connected to a sink with some sand and some pebbles in the cutters to show when transport and deposition occur. There was also a bit long map with the River Thames on it, the children had to label where the different places the River Thames goes through. 

Maddie then took the children on a long walk down the side of the river, and told them the history of it. When the children arrived back at the museum they where split into two groups. The first group went to the wind in the willows exhibition; the second group went into the rowing museum. The wind in the willows exhibition was a magnificent place there were allsorts of different clips from the film Also the museum was very educational and at the same time fun and pact full of

 

Activities for all the children to do they’re where allsorts of video clips from famous rowers and rowing boats.

 Overall everybody enjoyed the trip especially Mr Pitson!
