Our experiences at Yenworthy

We had so many wonderful, exciting activities through the week, I had a brilliant time. It was fantastic doing lots of different activities that I had never done before. The food was delicious and the showers were warm. Also the instructors were very kind, trustworthy, helpful and understanding. The thing I enjoyed most was being able to stand up and surf, secondly came the canoeing/kayaking.

It was hard having to be so many miles away (it felt like 1,0000 miles) I did miss my sister and my parents but that was only once. The food was great (actually I did not like the curry).

Here are my favourite things I did at Yenworthy lodge:

I loved Making a Fire, I did not like the marshmallows, but it was funny when my stick set fire!
I also liked Surfing it was one of my highlights of the week. I never thought I could do it but I think I did it well.

The Zip-Wire was super fast and I love super fast. I was surprised to hear Mrs Capel-Davis scream so loud I jumped out of my skin!!!
I also like things that are super cool, and Rock Climbing says it all. It was very hard for my friends to relax so I thought it would be hard for me to do the same but I thought it was easy to relax.

Like I said,
I never thought I could do it!!!

Everybody worked very hard to give us kids a great time. The food was good which helped a lot. I did miss home but there was so much to do and everyone was very nice. We had lots of fun activities to do and it was an experience I would not have wanted to miss. It was good to be with my friends and I now know why my teachers are so tired when we get home. I think my best time was when we did surfing and when we got to jump in after canoeing and we got wet as we had our clothes on. The staff washed our clothes and dried them for us. I had an idea of what it was going to be like as my brother had been before me.

Thank you for a lovely time at Yenworthy. Thank you Sally for the lovely food you cooked for me and thank you Sean. Helen and everyone who took us on the adventures and all the things you taught us. It was great fun learning about global warming, it taught me a lot about what we are doing to the environment.

I am writing to tell you how much I enjoyed the "Yenworthy Experience".

I really enjoyed the rock climbing. I was very nervous but Sean helped me put my feet in the right place and get me to the top. I was really pleased I managed to do it. He also encouraged me to get on the zip wire and get to the bottom.

The food was delicious. After we had done our activities all day it was nice to get back to a hot meal.

I was encouraged to do different activities that I thought I would never be able to do.
